I got lost on my way to a bike shop and found swing #035 (Below the L, Bucktown, Chicago, IL). The swing/this project has made my day! I spent a good 20 minutes swinging. I laughed out loud each time the train passed over me. A toddler looked at me with envy from her stroller. A worker offered to give me a big push. My happiness seemed to rub off on people passing by. I found a piece of leftover swing rope and took it home as a souvenir. Thank you to the person/people who created this project and who put up this particular swing. It is the perfect location.

I found the Chicago swing this past weekend. I parked under the tracks and looked at my husband and said, "There is a swing...under the tracks" We had *so* much fun swinging and laughing. Great idea for a project, I have a picture here : http://leahcphotos.wordpress.com/2009/02/04/coolest-project-ever/

We ran into #054 this morning on the way from the Rothko Chapel to the Menil. Here's a shot from the day: http://libraryink.blogspot.com/2009/02/redswingprojectorg.html

This is a great project and I'm happy to see that it's expanded from Austin...

Thanks for brightening people's days!

Thank you so very much for moving beyond Austin for this project. I found the swing in the Menil/Rothko area of Houston a couple of weeks ago when I was feeling blue. I didn't swing because many others were having fun on it, but just seeing the swing made my day. Today I did swing in a light drizzle, and it made me so, so happy! Thank you!

my english teacher gives us free writes, she prompts us on random things and lets us twist them what ever way our mind lets us. She gave us the letter "R" and said, think of something that starts with "R" and write about it. I started thinking, and I thought of a red swing. I wanted a picture of a red swing so I typed it into google immages, and the red swing project popped up. I think this is so cool, I'm not sure why. Just the random joy it brings to someone when they stumble apone a random red swing. :]

it's amazing, absolutely wonderful.

How ludacris! If I want to swing I'll go to the park! In most cases they are in well landscaped areas and are quite an eye sore! This is far from art!

I'd visited swing #58 before, but today, just an hour ago, as it was getting dark, I took my little sister on an adventure, not telling her about the red swing project. Finding the red swing as if by magic in the dark was the most perfect way to end the day. It was impossible not to smile as I pushed my sister and watched the sun fade away.

Can you please tell me who is behind this project? I would like to connect and build with other projects that are happening in NYC by DoTankBrooklyn.org. Thanks.
